The running of our nation is certainly not child’s play. Yet in recent years, I’ve seen more childish antics in the political arena than I have at the local playground. The political climate in this country is harsh. Debates seem to be fueled more by hate than by policy differences. Political leaders (elected, self proclaimed, and otherwise), don’t make me come down there! Learn to get along.
In attempts to rehabilitate the image of beauty pageants, emphasis has been placed on the question and answer segment. Asked whether gay marriage should be legalized, Miss California may have cost herself the title of Miss USA by expressing her opinion on the matter. Personally, I prefer the evening gown part of the competition. (more…)
