I’ve been tagged by Dipali @ Of This and That to write about the five best things that Hubby has done for me. The best five things, huh? Our relationship is kinda complex. Each of us has our deficiencies but combined- we make at least one pretty decent human being :).
Desi (pronounced Day-C) is a Hindi term meaning Indian national. The odds were stacked against us when Hubby and I tied the knot or mangal sutra*. Numerous cultural and religious differences struck fear in the hearts of both of our families. While there are definitely challenges, we are both better people having found each other. In fact, I have acquired new and special abilities as a result of our version of East meets West.
If I speak eloquently but have no love for others, my eloquence is no better than the clanging of pots and pans… If I love, then I will be patient. If I love, I will be kind. Love forgives all manner of wrongs and love endures… (Inspired by I Corinthians 13).
Do people write letters anymore? Do people write love letters anymore? I haven’t written one in a long time. Haven’t received one in a long time either. Maybe we should bring this simple act of caring back into focus.
Challenge: Write a note telling someone how important they are to you. Do it now. This post will be here when you get back. Please do come back, though 🙂 .
This week while visiting my favorite blogs, I read an amazing love story. It involved a young couple who weren’t trying to impress or entertain. They were simply living their lives. The story also involves two people who made it possible for this story to be told. Perhaps they have their own love story to tell. Please spare a little time to read and enjoy The Letters @ Musings of a Mindless Banterer courtesy of Emma. For me, it was worth every moment.
Leave Emma a comment and don’t worry, it doesn’t need to be hand written 🙂 .

In yesterday’s post He Said, Hubby shared his perspective on Date Night. While his writing style is direct and to the point, I tend to be more… wordy. Therefore, in order to keep our comparisons consistent, I have attempted to reign in my flowery language and adopt Hubby’s bullet point approach (wish me luck). Ladies and Gentlemen, I now present my view. (more…)
This weekend Hubby and I instituted Date Night. This is his account of our memorable evening. My account follows in tomorrow’s post She Said…. Ladies and Gentlemen, I present my first guest author. (more…)
