Horn of PlentyWe often find ourselves wanting more out of life –  more of the good and less of the bad.  I find myself in this position all the time.  However, life is all about balance.

Sometimes balance means having options but not knowing which road to take.  At other times balance means having only one available path.  Sometimes balance means things work out without a hitch, and other times it means that nothing goes according to plan.  There are times when balance means climbing high mountains, and there are other times when balance brings one step forward and two steps back.

At Believe in Yourself my friend Luisa posted this lovely poem which really sums up the balance of life.

I pray you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I pray you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more.
I pray you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I pray you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I pray you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I pray you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I pray you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

Check out the full story @ Believe in Yourself, it’s quite moving and  gets us to thinking about what’s really important.  Have a wonderful day blessed with enough!

Oh, by the way, Luisa has another blog where she posts the joke of the day.  Check out Laugh with Doraz, it’s great fun!

this is a beautiful poem. i totally agree…instead of wanting more, more, more, we should be content with enough.
