Our Lovely World

planetOur lovely world…let’s do our part to keep it that way!

Genesis 1:31; and 2:15

And God saw everything that He had made and behold it was very good…
And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Everything we do has an impact on this planet.  Running the Numbers, is Chris Jordan’s artistic interpretation of our contemporary consumer culture.  Statistics can seem abstract and sterile.  However, Chris captures the impact of certain everyday actions through vivid images.  Every improvement we make – no matter how small- has a positive impact.

The page containing the content for Running the Numbers has high resolution images and may take some time to load but it’s well worth the wait.  Please be advised that there is one section containing images not suitable for those under 18 years of age.  Please use discretion.

I was just thinking about that artist the other day and wondering how I could find his images again. Thanks so much for reading my mind! Very powerful.

Thanks Shal. Is there a similar holiday in Norway?

No, not really. Norwegians like to pretend that they’re just peacebrokers and don’t even really have an army:-)

Not that peace has been successfully brokered anywhere!

I love this. It is a powerful reminder that we all make a difference in our world. To look at it this way you really get an idea of how close together we all are in the great big picture.
