Why We Don’t Have Privileges: Crime and Punishment (Essay#2)
This was written by our very responsible and helpful 11 year old. The essay had to be at least 100 words. With a sly grin she told me that she went the extra mile and made it 109 words 🙂 (For background read the post On Crime and Punishment).
Why We Don’t Have Privileges
This week we can’t use any of our electronic devices because we didn’t keep our room, bathroom, and desk clean. Here is what we learned and why we won’t do it again.
I learned that when your area is dirty it is hard to concentrate on work because you are distracted by all the things around you. I also learned daddy gets really mad when our house is dirty.
This won’t happen again because I will clean my area when I finish my homework and check again before I sleep.
I’m sure this essay will help me learn to clean my area.
PS: The title she chose makes it sound like we are keeping her in Rapunzel’s tower. I assure you no children were harmed in the making of this series. The final essay will be posted tomorrow – See Oops. For previous essay see What I Did Wrong and for background information see On Crime and Punishment. See you soon.
