Sunlight

dew-iiFunny how sunlight can make dewdrops glisten or bake earth into parched clay.  It can illuminate a gentle face, or  render you sightless with its unblinking stare.  With its gentle smile it can warm pleasant beaches on a breezy day or with a parched-earthdeadly grin, transform those same beaches into scorching sand.

Glorious how sunlight can paint the horizon with glowing strokes of crimson, fuchsia, and tangerine, then plunge us into darkness by merely sinking out of sight.

Grand how sunlight makes forests grow to green splendor then withers prairies into dust and tumbleweed.

Curious how light can bring warmth and life to those in its path, reveal great beauty, or cause tumbleweedvitality to bleach and fade away.  Yeah, sunlight’s funny that way.
