What!? Still More Holiday Stuff???

It’s time to end my long-standing run as a delinquent parent during the holidays.  I’ve read many posts of good parents who engage in festive activities and create great memories and traditions.  Even I can be festive for once, right?

I’ve been posting about how busy the holiday season has been so far.  The school band just made it that much busier.

A Perfect Storm

For days the newscasters had been hyping it up.  Residents prepared for hazardous driving conditions and there was even talk of possible school closures.  I felt like I was back in Florida for hurricane season.

Unpaid Vacation

Hey everyone, just a note to say have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving holiday.  I’m taking the week off for some R&R  although I’m not sure there will be any rest or relaxation involved.  This is an unpaid vacation.  I guess it would have to be unpaid since I don’t have a paying job.  Hopefully I’ll be able to rectify that situation soon.  Take care and have fun.  See you after the break!

A Walk in the Clouds

Several years ago I saw  a total chick flick – A Walk in the Clouds – starring Keanu Reeves.  For the most part the reviews were poor, but I really enjoyed it.  Of course this was many years ago before I developed a dry and sarcastic sense of humor.  Ok, there was never a time I didn’t have a sarcastic sense of humor.  I think I developed it by watching so many Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry acartoons as a child.  Be that as it may, I still enjoyed the movie.

In Search of Fall

Autumn is my favorite time of year.  I like the cool crisp air, the electric blue sky, and the rainbow of colored leaves.  However, for the past 100 or so years, I’ve lived in climates that don’t lend themselves to four seasons.  At least I don’t need to rake the yard, but I still miss the changing foliage.  So this year I’ve decided to embrace autumn in its more subtle manifestations.

One Word Tag!

Tag, I’m it.  My friend Gary of Gary’s World  tagged me to do this one word tag.   The tag involves answering 35 questions with one word ONLY.  One word?!  That’s like asking me to eat just one Lays potato chip – possible, but unlikely.  I will do my best to restrain myself.  Hyphenating makes it one word, right?
