Feliz Cumpleanos – Happy Birthday!

About 18 years ago I met this guy -  a really nice guy.  At the time we both had a lot less gray hair and were dozens of pounds lighter.  We’ve been through a lot over the years and it gives me great pleasure to wish my best friend and husband a Happy Birthday!

 I also wish a Happy Birthday to my niece who makes birthday today also.

What!? Still More Holiday Stuff???

It’s time to end my long-standing run as a delinquent parent during the holidays.  I’ve read many posts of good parents who engage in festive activities and create great memories and traditions.  Even I can be festive for once, right?

A Perfect Storm

For days the newscasters had been hyping it up.  Residents prepared for hazardous driving conditions and there was even talk of possible school closures.  I felt like I was back in Florida for hurricane season.

Unpaid Vacation

Hey everyone, just a note to say have a great week and a Happy Thanksgiving holiday.  I’m taking the week off for some R&R  although I’m not sure there will be any rest or relaxation involved.  This is an unpaid vacation.  I guess it would have to be unpaid since I don’t have a paying job.  Hopefully I’ll be able to rectify that situation soon.  Take care and have fun.  See you after the break!

A Walk in the Clouds

Several years ago I saw  a total chick flick – A Walk in the Clouds – starring Keanu Reeves.  For the most part the reviews were poor, but I really enjoyed it.  Of course this was many years ago before I developed a dry and sarcastic sense of humor.  Ok, there was never a time I didn’t have a sarcastic sense of humor.  I think I developed it by watching so many Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry acartoons as a child.  Be that as it may, I still enjoyed the movie.
